After competitor Lynx Air took its last flight earlier this week, Porter, one of the few remaining challengers to the big two airlines in Canada, is asking the federal government to support the airline sector. One of the largest cannabis companies in the country wants B.C. to help it and other licensed sellers compete with cheaper illegal markets. And Canada’s biggest university wants Ontario to allow post-secondary institutions to increase total enrolment, up tuition and build more student housing to make the higher education sector financially sustainable.
